Refund & Withdrawal Policy
Last updated: September 25, 2026
This page explains your right to withdraw from a purchase of Premium access — a one-time purchase (currently $137 USD for the Full Course Bundle) or a monthly subscription, depending on what you choose at checkout — if you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, and how refunds, cancellation and quality complaints are handled generally.
1. Your 14-day right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer (buying for personal, non-business use) located in the EU or EEA, you have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving any reason, under Directive 2011/83/EU and the Polish ustawa o prawach konsumenta.
2. How this applies to digital content delivered immediately
Premium access is digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, and it is unlocked immediately on purchase. Under Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU, the 14-day right of withdrawal is lost only if both of the following are true:
- you gave your express, informed consent before purchase to begin performance (i.e. to get immediate access) before the 14-day period ends, and
- you acknowledged that you would thereby lose your right of withdrawal once access is fully granted.
Checkout will present this as an explicit checkbox you must actively tick — it is never assumed or pre-selected. If you did not tick it, your 14-day right of withdrawal remains intact even though access was granted immediately.
Implementation note: checkout presents this consent checkbox, unchecked by default, before any payment is taken. Whether purchasing is actually live also depends on the operator having configured a payment processor and completed business registration — see the notice below: this business is not yet registered.
3. How to withdraw
If you have not waived the right as described above, you may withdraw within 14 days of your purchase by emailing stemvizapp@gmail.com with a clear statement that you are withdrawing (for example, using the model form below). We will confirm receipt without delay.
Model withdrawal form
(Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract — based on Annex I(B) to Directive 2011/83/EU.)
To [to be completed once STEMviz's operator registers a JDG] (stemvizapp@gmail.com):
I/We hereby give notice that I/We withdraw from my/our contract for the supply of the following digital content: STEMviz Premium access.
Ordered on: [date] — Name of consumer(s): [name] — Address of consumer(s): [address] — Signature (only if this form is notified on paper), Date.
4. Refunds
Where a withdrawal is valid, we will reimburse the full purchase price within 14 days of being notified, using the same payment method you used to pay, unless you expressly agree otherwise.
5. Faulty or misdescribed content (independent of withdrawal)
Separately from the withdrawal right above, if Premium access is defective or not as described, you are entitled to the statutory warranty (rękojmia) under Articles 556 et seq. of the Polish Civil Code — you may request repair, a price reduction, or, in serious cases, withdrawal from the contract, regardless of whether the 14-day withdrawal window has passed. Contact stemvizapp@gmail.com to raise this.
6. Monthly subscriptions
If you choose a monthly subscription instead of a one-time purchase, it renews automatically every month at the then-current price, and you are billed each time it renews, until you cancel. The 14-day withdrawal waiver described in Section 2 applies the same way to a subscription's first billing period: ticking the consent checkbox at checkout waives withdrawal for that first payment once access is granted, exactly as it does for a one-time purchase.
You can cancel at any time by emailing stemvizapp@gmail.com. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the period you have already paid for — access continues until the end of that period, then ends. There is no partial-month refund for an unused remainder of a period, for the same reason as Section 4: content has already been fully supplied for that period, except where Section 5's statutory warranty applies.
7. Buyers outside the EU/EEA
The 14-day statutory right above is an EU/EEA consumer-protection right and may not apply the same way if you are purchasing from outside the EU/EEA (for example, the United States has no equivalent federal mandatory right). We will still consider refund requests from buyers outside the EU/EEA on a case-by-case, good-faith basis — contact us to discuss.
